Shining Light on Technology that Destroys Viruses, Bacteria, and Other Microbes

The Challenge

During the COVID-19 pandemic, aerospace company Waypoint Interiors developed an innovative solution for sanitizing surfaces in transport vehicles. Utilizing dual-spectrum UV light, their Viralite technology offers an efficient and convenient method to eliminate viruses such as COVID-19, as well as more common pathogens like bacteria. Given the challenges of conducting in-person product demonstrations during the pandemic, Waypoint Interiors approached us to develop a comprehensive content strategy aimed at showcasing their product to prospective buyers nationwide.

The Client

Waypoint Interiors is a Seattle-based aerospace and transportation company. Their experienced team of engineers and specialists  offer custom designs, certification, structural approval, electrical upgrades, systems modifications and certification programs for commercial aircraft. 

The Solution

In close collaboration with the Waypoint Interiors team, we produced three videos and developed a website to highlight the diverse applications of their Viralite product in transport vehicles. Additionally, we facilitated the remote recording of a testimonial video featuring a satisfied customer, further enhancing the credibility and appeal of the product to prospective buyers.

Execution

  • Development & Strategy

    The Waypoint team was basically starting from scratch in terms of an online presence. In addition to developing a video strategy, we also worked with them on creating a responsive website that could showcase their video content. 

    Once the Viralite product was ready to ship, we produced a video showcasing their product on school buses. And once they had customers, we created a short testimonial video with a happy customer that they could be used in email campaigns with prospective buyers. 

  • Pre-Production

    Pre-production consisted of scriptwriting and visioning with the Waypoint team. We also hired a Seattle-based video crew to capture the Viralite product in action. 

  • Production

    Each of the four videos we produced utilized different production techniques.

    • As the Waypoint team was still developing its product when we first started working with them, the first two video we produced relied solely on stock footage and motion graphic. 
    • The third video was filmed on location at Waypoint’s offices in Seattle and we employed a local video team to capture footage and we provided guidance on the kinds of shots we needed. 
    • The final testimonial video was captured remotely (although ideally we could have captured this using local video talent). 
  • Post-Production

    Post-production was overseen by the Flowspark team. 

  • Distribution

    As Waypoint Interiors lacked a website and social media presence we set these up for them.  Once created, we published the content on their behalf.
